BLOOM CLEAR THE EYESORES
Three large beds on the new Herefordshire Council built link road opposite Hereford railway station became weed infested and an eyesore to the thousands of visitors arriving in the city by train. 2020 was one of the most challenging years I have ever experienced, and I am sure it was for us all. The Britain in Bloom competition was cancelled due to the coronavirus. In spite of this HIB has continued, within constraints, to maintain flower beds and borders, plant trees and successfully rescued the abandoned three large beds on the side of the new link road opposite the railway station, planting a selection of 400 shrubs.
